Small Groups

Small Groups  have five foundational purposes to help you strengthen your relationship with God, and to build new and lasting friendships for the purpose of growth, accountability, encouragement and support.   To find out more about small groups, to join a small group or to start a small group contact Elder Kevin Pike jkevinpike@sbcglobal.net

Current Weekly Small Groups are also posted on the calendar found on the homepage.

Five Purposes of Small Groups

      1. Worship / We worship God in prayer, praise and thanksgiving that center us around Christ. "They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord's Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity." Acts 2:46
      2. Fellowship / We spend time together studying the Word of God, sharing meals, praying and enjoying life's many blessings and caring for one another.  "All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals and to prayer." Acts 2:42
      3. Discipleship / We seek to follow God's word by encouraging one another in our relationships with Christ; to learn about the Christina life together and to do the Christian life together.  "Rather you must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.  All glory to him, both now and forever! Amen." 2 Peter 3:18
      4. Ministry / We make a difference in our church by serving together. "As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God.  For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ." 2 Corinthians 9:13
      5. Evaneglism / We strive to spread the good news of Christ in three ways:
        • Missions: We express our concern for the world by caring for and supporting our missionaries and other Great Commission endeavors around the world.
        • Community Service:  We impact our community and neighborhoods through ministry partners to identify needs and common efforts of grace and compassion.
        • Spreading the Good News: We are committed to helping unbelievers come to know God's love by proclaiming the Gospel  of salvation through faith in Christ.  "Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and earth.  Therefore, go and  make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.  And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Mathew 28:18-20
