Mission and Vision
Purpose: What are we trying to do? To grow a church family of fully committed followers of Christ who will glorify God by reaching out to the un-churched and equipping them to know Him and serve Him, in a context of a worshiping and caring community.
Mission: How do we plan to get there? By obeying The Great Commandment and The Great Commission.
Worship: To CELEBRATE together God’s majesty with inspiring, uplifting, and contemporary worship. (John 4:23-24; Mark 12:29-31)
Evangelism: To REACH out to as many un-churched people as possible with the life-changing message of the gospel and bring them into the fellowship of the body of Christ. (Acts 1:8; 2:40-41, 47; 4:4; 5:14, 42; 6:7; 8:4; 9:31; 11:19-21; 12:24)
Discipleship: To TEACH them to become fully committed followers of Christ. (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 2:42; 4:2; 5:25, 28, 42; 1 Tim 2:2; 2 Tim 3:16-17; 1 Pet 2:2)
Service: To EQUIP every individual in WBC to serve God and each other by helping them identify their SHAPE; Leadership Style and God Designed Place of Ministry in the body. (Rom 12:3-8; 1 Cor 12:4-11; Eph 4:11-16; 1 Pet 4:10-11)
Fellowship: To CONNECT with the body in authentic caring relationship. (Acts 2:42-47; 4:32-37)
Vision: What is our Dream We see a church where:
- People will find committed followers of Jesus Christ who are worshiping, serving, training, giving, growing and connecting in an authentic caring community.
- Any searching person from any ethnic background or socio-economic station or marital status can find love, acceptance, forgiveness, connection, value, significance and warm authentic relationships with others. We see people who enjoy themselves and have fun as they connect with others and God.
- The word of God will be preached and taught to all ages with accuracy, power, clarity, conviction and relevance. Where people of all ages can be exposed to the life-changing teaching of God’s Word.
- People can experience the presence of God through inspiring and uplifting contemporary worship.
- People can be equipped with practical training for ministry and service and grouped together in ministry teams that are empowered for more effective ministry.
- The leadership leads with vision, purpose, example and a sense of where God wants the church to go.
- Broken people suffering from the hurts, habits and hang-ups of life can find acceptance, emotional healing and encouragement.
- Families will be accepted and encouraged, and parents will be supported. Children will be disciplined, trained, equipped and educated for a life-time of serving God.Missionaries and Mission agencies around the world will be supported
- Qualified Youth and Adults will be sent out on short-term as well as full-time vocational mission projects all around the world to help those laboring for the gospel in foreign countries.

People will find a campus that is attractive, contemporary and modest, yet constructed and decorated with excellence that serves to further the purpose and mission of the church.
Strategy: How will we accomplish it? -
We will encourage each member of the flock to continue to progress along the following 12 Step Strategy. All of which will be accomplished in a context where we are committed to Magnification/Worship. -
A Commitment to Membership (Eph 2:19; 4:25; Col 3:15) I have received the gift of salvation and identified with Christ through water baptism. (Eph 2:8-9; Rom 6:4) I have identified with WBC through church membership (Matt 18:15-17) I am connected to the body in a weekly fellowship group (Acts 2:44-46) -
A Commitment to Maturity (2 Pet 3:18) I am reading and studying the Word of God (1 Pet 2:2; 2 Tim 2:16-17) I am spending daily time alone with God (Mark 1:35) I am practicing biblical stewardship (1 Cor 16:1-4) -
A Commitment to Ministry (Gal 5:13) I am aware of my ministry SHAPE (1 Pet 4:10-11) I am serving the body of Christ in the area of my ministry SHAPE (1 Cor 12:4-11) I am engaged in ongoing ministry training (Eph 4:11-12) -
A Commitment to Mission (Matt 28:18-20; Acts 1:8) I am building relationships with un-churched people (1 Pet 2:11-12) I am sharing my faith story (Rom 1:16) I am bringing my un-churched friends to church where they can hear about Christ. (2 Cor 5:18-20)
