Beliefs
What we believe at Woodland Bible Church about Jesus, the Bible, and the Church.

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is at the center of everything. We believe that Jesus is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life. We believe that Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

THE TRINITY

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.

THE BIBLE

We believe that the Bible is God's Word. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our everday lives. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant.

THE SEPERATION

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives. The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way for salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as a sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God, and it cannot be earned through our efforts.

THE RECONCILIATION

We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and a fresh start with God, we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and commit to His will for our lives. Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Eternal Life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

THE CHURCH

We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together. The church is a local community of baptized believers unified through faith in Christ. It is commited to the teachings of Christ, to obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the GOOD NEWS to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ulitmate purpose of glorifying Christ.
