Individuals with special needs, 14 years and older, are invited to be part of this unforgettable evening. Guests will be paired with a buddy to share the experience and so every guest feels supported and celebrated.

Every honored guest enters on a red carpet complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Guests receive the royal treatment, including limousine rides, a catered dinner, and of course, a dance floor- all while enjoying cozy spaces if you need a break. The evening ends with a live concert and crowning of every king or queen of the prom!

Our volunteers are the heart behind the Night to Shine event, assisting with everything from red-carpet arrivals and dancing to meal service, hair and makeup, photography, and more. No matter your role at this night of shine, you’ll help make every guest feel valued, loved, and celebrated during this special occasion.

To Volunteer at Night to Shine, you will complete an application and receive a background check. Once registered, our team will provide you with all the necessary information and training you will need to serve in your chosen area.

All adults are required to pass a background check to attend the event.

Minors must be 14+ to volunteer with parental consent on the application.

RESPITE ROOM FOR PARENTS AND CARETAKERS

We also want to honor the incredible parents, family members and caretakers for their lifetime commitment to caring for their loved ones with special needs. Night to Shine has a respite room on site. We invite you to rest and enjoy a night off, knowing that your loved ones are having an amazing time in a safe environment with a personally assigned “buddy.”

We’d love for you to participate as paparazzi during the red carpet ceremony. You will not be required to get a background check unless you want to volunteer at the dinner/dance portion of the evening. However, there will be opportunity to check in on all the fun throughout the event.

Family members who would like to be a “buddy” are considers volunteers and must register, get a background check and attend a training.
